The Fachverein AV@MAVT (in D-MAVT which was probably not so difficult to guess) just opened their new homepage. If you are also interested in using the AVETH RSS-Feed as a blog-roll, the URI is http://www.aveth.ethz.ch/blog/?feed=rss2

With a new department comes a new synergy: the scientific staff at the department of Health Sciences and Technology officially founded its department association HAS (HEST association of Scientific Staff) on 4 February. Only three days later, the AVETH board accepted tentatively the association as a Fachverein of AVETH in view of the upcoming general assembly of 21 February.
AVETH is wishing them all the best and looking forward to collaborating with them in future.
Each year, AVETH publishes its annual report, the AVETH News. The newest edition is now available and will be sent to all ETH scientific staff via mail within the next week. Have a look at the electronic version already now.
After already existing as a loose structure for some time, the scientific staff at the department of earth sciences officially founded its department association at the end of November 2012. Only a few days later, the association was tentatively accepted as a Fachverein of AVETH which has to be confirmed during the general assembly in early 2013.
AVETH is looking forward to working together with them in future.
More information can be found on the webseite of the departmental association at: http://www.erdw.ethz.ch/people/Mittelbau

We have turned back the clock, the leaves have fallen, and that freak, but beautiful, snow has melted. What better to do on a grey and windy Thursday, but to drink with your AVETH friends, or make some new ones! We are going to move to a different district this month, Central is so September style anyway, and check out Devi’s Pearl Bar. With a name like that, how could we go wrong? Check it out on google maps before you head out, this one is located right by a train station, so an S-Bahn might be an awesome idea too, but don’t get the wrong idea, it is definitely not far!
See you there!

AVETH is happy to have a new departmental association on board and is looking forward to working together with them in the future.
