Our voices were heard.
During its winter session, the Swiss Parliament decided to reduce the proposed cuts to education, research, and innovation. This is an important step toward safeguarding Switzerland’s academic and scientific future.

This outcome was made possible by the strong mobilization of students and scientists at the rally on October 1st. We would especially like to thank the large demonstration in Zürich, led by VSETH and AVETH, for standing up for equal opportunities and sustainable investment in education and research.

While this decision is encouraging, continued engagement remains essential. AVETH will keep working with decision-makers to advocate for long-term funding, fair conditions, and the rights of students and scientists in Switzerland.
