Science and inclusivity share the goal of enhancing human well-being and societal progress. Researchers dedicated to this field strive to augment inclusivity across various dimensions of life, from developing medical devices that restore lost functionalities (such as vision and locomotion) to conducting data analyses that account for social diversity and fairly balance their conclusions. This includes addressing gender biases in social and medical research, ensuring that the pathophysiological understanding, diagnostics and treatments are effective for all genders. Architectural research also plays a critical role by designing inclusive spaces that accommodate diverse needs, making environments accessible to everyone, regardless of physical abilities. Technological advancements aim to address the challenges of neurodiversity, supporting individuals with diverse neurological conditions, in learning communicating, and thriving in various aspects of life.
In the fall of 2024, the AVETH Diversity team will guest multiple talks from renowned researchers involved in research on technologies and strategies to augment inclusivity.
By integrating inclusivity into scientific endeavors, we will build a more equitable and accessible world, ensuring that advancements in technology, healthcare, and infrastructure benefit all members of society. Let’s learn the latest news about it!
When? Coming soon, in fall 2024!
