Stop the Cuts – Protect Swiss Research! 

Switzerland’s research and education system is at risk. Proposed drastic funding cuts threaten our universities, research institutions, and future generations of scientists.

As AVETH, representing mid-level academic staff at ETH Zurich, we join forces with academic associations across the country to oppose these devastating reductions. These cuts will result in:

Loss of research positions and funding
Decline in international competitiveness
Increased job insecurity for mid-level staff
Reduced opportunities for students and early-career researchers

Short-term savings must not come at the cost of long-term excellence in education, research, and innovation. We call on policymakers to rethink these cuts and ensure Switzerland remains a global leader in science.
