The Second Life of Things exhibition
Excited about sustainability? Join us for a guided tour of The Second Life of Things exhibition and meet the AVETH Sustainability Team!
Our throw-away and consumerist society is a recent phenomenon in the history of humanity. Up until the Industrial Revolution in the late 18th century, it was normal to hand down clothes, repair tools, reuse building materials and recycle glass containers – it was possible for all manner of things to have a second, third, or even infinite life. The exhibition takes a look at past and present methods of circular economy. Objects from the Stone Age to the present day show how their history can raise awareness of the value of things.
The tour will start at 6:00 pm sharp and last for 60 min. Afterwards we will go together for a drink & snacks at Veganitas where you will have the chance to meet the AVETH Sustainability Team and chat with fellow ETH members concerned about the topic. The first drink & some snacks are on AVETH!
