Techpool – ETH technology platform

Research projects and experimental setups regularly require installations and designs made of plastic, plexiglass, metal and other materials. Many departments have their own workshops for this purpose. But what if your own department is not equipped with the appropriate technology or does not have the capacity to carry out production at short notice?

This is where techpool comes in. As an ETH technology platform, techpool offers free advice on the production and assembly of individual parts and complete assemblies. On request, techpool will also prepare an individual quotation, place the order with internal and external workshops, and monitor and coordinate the process through to delivery. Thanks to a large network of workshops, almost all technologies are possible. In addition, free capacities can usually be found at short notice.

techpool provides personal support to all ETH members, from students to professors, regardless of department or location, as well as to ETH spin-offs and partners from the ETH domain.

Experimentelle Forschungsprojekte benötigen regelmässig Installationen aus Kunststoff, Metall oder anderen Materialien. Viele Departemente unterhalten dafür eigene Werkstätten. Doch was, wenn das eigene Departement für die entsprechende Technologie nicht ausgerüstet ist oder kurzfristig keine Kapazitäten hat, um die Fertigung auszuführen?

Hier kommt techpool ins Spiel. Als Technologieplattform der ETH Zürich bietet techpool eine kostenlose Beratung rund um die Fertigung und Montage von Einzelteilen und ganzen Baugruppen. Zudem erstellt techpool auf Wunsch ein individuelles Angebot, platziert den Auftrag bei internen und externen Werkstätten und überwacht und koordiniert den Prozess bis zur Auslieferung. Dank einem grossen Netzwerk von Werkstätten sind fast alle Technologien möglich und meist finden sich so auch kurzfristig freie Kapazitäten.

techpool unterstützt alle ETH-Angehörigen persönlich und individuell, von Studierenden bis zu Professorinnen und Professoren, unabhängig vom Departement oder Standort, sowie ETH-Spin-offs und Partner aus dem ETH-Bereich.
