Today, 23.02.2023, the ETH Schulleitung decided that the salary rates of doctoral students (and scientific assistants I) will be increased by the inflation adjustment of 2.5% as of March 1, 2023, based on the decision of the SNSF.
This is great news for doctoral students! AVETH will continue discussions with all responsible parties with the aim of ensuring:
– Doctoral student salaries are henceforth always adjusted for inflation in step with any adjustments made for other ETH staff members.
– Doctoral student salaries are adjusted to reflect all of the inflation since the last inflation adjustment in 2014.
– The gap between salary levels 1 and 5 is reduced (by bringing the lower levels up).
