AVETH Book Club

Do you also like to read the books that comment on our times and sometimes wonder who you can share your thoughts with? Audald and Jackie wondered the same, so they decided to start the first AVETH Book Club. During our second session, on December 6th at ETH Hönggerberg, we will cover and discuss about “Man’s Search for Meaning”, by Viktor E. Frankl. Based on his own experience and the stories of his patients, Frankl argues that we cannot avoid suffering but we can choose how to cope with it, find meaning in it, and move forward with renewed purpose. At the heart of his theory, known as logotherapy, is a conviction that the primary human drive is not pleasure but the pursuit of what we find meaningful. Would you agree?
