Catastrophic risks research program stipend 1500 CHF, intro event May 4th, 2021
The Swiss Existential Risk Initiative (CHERI) focuses on the mitigation of global catastrophic risks – events that could curtail the future of humanity. Examples of these risks come from nuclear weapons, transformative artificial intelligence, extreme climate change, or (engineered) pathogens.
In summer 2021, CHERI is offering a research program for students eager to build a safe future. For six weeks, you will work on a research project with mentorship from experienced Swiss academics. You will learn more about global catastrophic risk research through events and lectures and get to know like-minded researchers around the world. Each student will receive a stipend of 1500 CHF for their work.
